Donald Trump vs Petro Tensions: The dispute between US President Donald Trump and Colombia’s President Gustavo Petro deepened when Colombia stopped two deportation flights from landing in its country. Why did Petro stop deportation flights?

Trump’s aggressive stance
Trump wrote on his social media platform TruthSocial that the Colombian president blocked two deportation flights carrying “illegal criminals” from landing. He has announced strict economic sanctions on Colombia, calling Petro an “unpopular socialist president”.
Trump ordered a 25 percent tariff on all goods coming from Colombia and said it would be increased to 50 percent next week. In addition, the Colombian authorities and their supporters announced visa cancellations and travel bans. He said, “This step is just the beginning. Petro’s befitting reply
