From stunts on moving trains to romance on bikes, people these days go to extreme lengths to create viral content. A video of a couple romancing on a two-wheeler in Kanpur and attempting to make a reel has gone viral. According to a report in India Today, the visuals have emerged from the Ganga Barrage area of Kanpur under the jurisdiction of Nawabganj Police Station.
In the viral clip, the man was spotted holding his partner as they approached his bike. She sits on the rider’s lap, facing him. The man then starts riding his bike with his partner hugging and sitting on the fuel tank.
The two, without helmets, appeared to be lip-syncing a song.

Soon after the video went viral on social media, the couple came under fire on social media. The Kanpur Police have also launched an investigation into the video. Responding to an X (formerly Twitter) user who called out the video, the Kanpur Police claimed, “Sir, the matter was taken into cognisance, and the concerned were informed.”
The media outlet further reported that the man in the video lives in the Awas Vikas area of Kanpur and has been fined at least 10 times in the past for traffic rules violations.
This was the first time such reports from Kanpur surfaced online. The city has witnessed similar instances of risky behaviour on roads in the past as well. In June 2024, a man was booked for performing a ‘Titanic’ pose while standing on a moving bike in the Ganga Barrage area of the city.
The Kanpur Police registered a case against him under Section 336 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC). In addition to that, the Unnao Police imposed a fine of Rs 12,000 on him under the relevant sections of the Motor Vehicles Act since the bike was registered in Unnao.
Prior to this incident, another man executed a risky wheelie stunt on his bike in front of police officials. He then had to pay a fine of Rs 5,000.
