According to Hurun Global Rich List for 2025, 90 billionaires of 284 billionaires live in the country’s financial capital Mumbai. India remains in a strong position on the global platform, the country is third in terms of billionaires, which lags behind only America and China. The US tops this list with 870 billionaires. The Hurun report also states that the assets of 175 Indian billionaires have increased, while the assets of 109 have either declined or no change. The average assets of an Indian billionaire are now Rs 34,514 crore. In addition, India has seven billionaires under the age of 40, most of whom are from Bengaluru and Mumbai.

Tesla and SpaceX CEO Elon Musk recorded the biggest property growth last year with a gross of $ 189 billion on the global front. The billionaire retained his title as the world’s richest person for the fourth time in five years and became the first person to cross the $ 400 billion mark. Amazon founder Jeff Bezos is second with a total assets of $ 266 billion. Meta CEO of Meta Mark Zuckerberg made it to the top three for the first time due to strong investor trust in Meta’s AI and technology.

This year’s Hurun list also included names from entertainment, sports and social media. These included singers J-Z, Rihanna, Taylor Swift and Paul McCartney. Sports celebrities who made it to the billionaire club included Michael Jordan, Tiger Woods, Floid Meweder, Lebron James, Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi. Kim Kardashian was the only influential person to join the World Ranking.
