NTA started registration process for UGC NET June exam, in this way register


A golden opportunity has come out for youth who want to make a career in the field of education and research. The National Testing Agency (NTA) has started the application process for the University Grants Commission (UGC) National Eligibility Test for UGC NET June 2025. This exam is conducted for the posts of Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) and Assistant Professor. Interested candidates can apply till 7 May 2025 by visiting NTA’s official website ugcnet.nta.ac.in.

This time the UGC NET exam will be conducted in Computer Based Mode (CBT) between June 21 and June 30. The examination will be taken in a total of 85 subjects. The NTA has advised the candidates to fill the correct information at the time of application, because all the updates will be sent on the registered mobile number and email itself.

These are essential dates

  • Notification issued and application started: 16 April 2025
  • Last date: 7 May 2025 (till 11:59 pm)
  • Last date for fee payment: 8 May 2025
  • Correction Window: 9 to 10 May 2025
  • Exam Date: 21 to 30 June 2025

Application fee will have to be paid so much

General class candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 1150. Whereas EWS/OBC (Non Cream Layer) will have to pay a fee of Rs 600. At the same time, SC/ST/PWD/Third Gender candidates will have to pay a fee of Rs 325.

Age limit

The maximum age for JRF has been kept 30 years till 1 June 2025. There is no age limit for assistant professors and PhD programs.

How to register

  1. First of all visit the official website of NTA https://ugcnet.anta.ac.in or www.nta.ac.in.
  2. Click on the link “UGC Net June 2025 Online Application”.
  3. Register yourself through a valid email ID and mobile number.
  4. Carefully fill your personal, educational and exam related details.
  5. Scan and upload the required documents including passport size photo and signature.
  6. Pay the application fee through debit/credit card, net banking or UPI.
  7. After completing the application process, download the confirmation page.
