According to a statement posted on ‘X’ by Government Pakistan TV, Shahbaz Sharif said this during a telephone conversation with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio.

Shahbaz Sharif praised Donald Trump

It said that during the warm and cordial conversation, the Prime Minister greeted US President Donald Trump. He praised the President for his adventurous leadership and appreciated the active diplomacy of Foreign Minister Rubio, which ‘Pakistan and India played an important role in reaching the ceasefire agreement.’

Sharif said that President Trump’s positive statements about Pakistan are the most encouraging for permanent peace in South Asia, which can be made possible only by starting a meaningful conversation between Pakistan and India.

Shahbaz again pleaded for Indus water

Government Pakistan TV said, “In this context, Shahbaz Sharif reiterated Pakistan’s desire to interact with India on all pending issues including Jammu and Kashmir, Indus Water Treaty, Trade and Terrorism.” However, India has already made it clear that it will talk with Pakistan only on the return of Pakistan -occupied Kashmir (POK) and terrorism.

Iran-Israel war also discussed

The situation in West Asia was also discussed between Shahbaz Sharif and Rubio, in which the Iran-Israeli crisis was discussed. During this time, the Pak PM emphasized the need to find a peaceful solution to this serious crisis through dialogue and diplomacy.
