A tech entrepreneur unexpectedly came into the spotlight after a video showed him getting cosy with a woman who isn’t his wife. The clip features Andy Byron, CEO of Astronomer, hugging Kristin Cabot, his company’s HR head, during a recent Coldplay concert. Meanwhile, another Andy Byron, who runs Stylo Motion Design and shares the same name, found himself caught in the confusion. He started facing criticism after people mistook him for the CEO. To clear the confusion, the namesake updated his LinkedIn profile and responded with a funny yet smart marketing post.
Another Andy changed his LinkedIn bio and in capital letters, he wrote, “NOT THE GUY FROM THE COLDPLAY GIG. Owner/Creative Director at Stylo Motion Design.”
He also shared an online article that reported the moment when the Astronomer CEO was caught on the big screen at a Coldplay concert. The owner of Stylo Motion Design wrote, “No, this isn’t me. I wouldn’t be caught dead at a Coldplay concert. I’m the Andy Byron who makes videos for big screens, not the one who gets caught on them. If you want to make video content that goes viral for the right reasons, let’s connect.”
In the video taken at the Coldplay concert, Andy Byron was seen hugging Kristin Cabot from behind. As soon as they noticed the camera on them, both quickly turned away and tried to hide their faces, but still the camera stayed on them for a few more seconds.
At the moment, Chris Martin could be heard saying, “Oh, look at these two. All right, come on, you’re OK. Either they’re having an affair or they’re just very shy.”
Astronomer CEO Andy Byron is married to Megan Kerrigan Byron and the couple lives in New York. Since the video went viral, both Andy and Kristin Cabot have stayed silent. Neither of them has commented on the rumours or responded to their possible affair.
