Many people enjoy having pets and birds, and they spend time eating, sleeping, and playing with them. You might also have a pet of your own. When you go out, you typically leave your pet at home or a relative’s place. However, Priyanka’s parrot Mitthu from Dehradun, the capital of Uttarakhand, is different. Mitthu accompanies her everywhere, including fairs, relatives’ houses, and other places.
Priyanka shared with Local 18 that when her husband first brought Mitthu home, he was very young. Initially, Priyanka didn’t like him, but she grew fond of him due to his cuteness and began raising him as her child. Mitthu soon became an integral part of the family.
Mitthu’s Adventures
Mitthu enjoys sunflower seeds and shares home-cooked meals with the family. He has travelled with Priyanka from Delhi to West Bengal. Priyanka mentioned that she loves Mitthu like her own children.
Since he doesn’t like being left alone at home, she takes him along wherever she goes, including fairs, weddings, and trips. Mitthu has visited both West Bengal and Delhi with her.
Mitthu’s Playful Nature
Mitthu is very playful and sometimes mischievous. He sings bhajans, greets with ‘good morning’, engages in conversation, and even shows anger.
Mitthu, the household favourite, goes for walks with the family as well. He enjoys playing with Priyanka, hiding inside the bedsheets, and swinging on the curtains. Mitthu amusingly sings ‘Mitthu Mitthu’ after hearing it on the mobile. He also alerts the family when guests arrive.
