Basher al-Assad in Russia : The 24-year-old government of former Syrian President Bashar al-Assad changed after the attack by Islamic rebels. Almost a week has passed since the coup. After the influence of the rebels, Bashar al-Assad had to flee the country. There were also reports like rumors of Bashar’s plane crashing while leaving the country, however the next day it became clear that Bashar al-Assad had safely left the country. The 50-year rule of the Assad family in Syria has ended and after leaving the country, Bashar is now recognized as a Russian refugee.
No one knows about Bashar leaving the country
Bashar al-Assad’s rule in Syria has come to an end. But many questions regarding Assad still remain under discussion. The biggest question in this is that when did Assad decide to leave the country and who advised him for this, how and when did he leave the country and when was the outline of this entire exit plan prepared. More than 12 people with knowledge of what happened in Syria revealed many things while talking to Reuters. He told that one thing came to light that Bashar al-Assad had not told almost anyone about his plan to leave Syria. While on one hand his power was declining in the country, on the other he had kept even his colleagues, officials and relatives in the dark.
Bashar al-Assad was waiting for Russian military help
Hours before leaving the country and fleeing to Moscow, the Russian capital, Bashar al-Assad held a meeting of about 30 army and security chiefs at the Defense Ministry. In which he assured that Russian military aid would arrive soon. After this he asked the military forces deployed on the ground to maintain the front. A commander attending this meeting informed that Assad told his Presidential Office Manager that he was going home after finishing work, but instead of home he went to the airport.
Bashar al-Assad left his supporters to fend for themselves
Before leaving the country, Bashar al-Assad also called his media advisor Bushaina Shaaban and invited her to his home to prepare his speech. But when she reached there, the house was empty. “Assad didn’t even fight the last battle, he didn’t even try to gather his troops,” said Nadim Houri, director of the Arab Reform Initiative.
