A Bengaluru resident stopped the two delivery agents who were riding bikes without helmets and in the wrong direction.

Wrong-way driving and not wearing helmets are road rule violations that remain a major concern in busy city areas. Recently, a resident in Bengaluru took action when he noticed two delivery agents riding electric bikes without helmets and in the wrong direction near Bren Avalon apartments in Doddanekundi.
In the video, the resident, who was also recording a video, spotted the two riders and immediately stopped them. He instructed them to turn back. “Go back now. You are not wearing a helmet and riding in the wrong direction. You are Swiggy Instamart delivery agents, right? I will complain if you don’t turn back,” the resident can be heard saying in the video.
The caption accompanying the clip reads, “A vigilant good Samaritan near Doddanekundi’s Bren Avalon apartment turned back delivery agents riding electric bikes the wrong way.”

In the comment section, many people appreciated the residents for taking a stand against reckless driving. The incident also sparked a discussion as several users shared frustrations about traffic violations, especially by delivery agents.
One user commented, “I have seen an electric car take the wrong way to avoid taking a U-Turn which is a mere 500 meters away. It was on a four-lane road which is empty for most of the time. It’s not about the cost of petrol anymore. It has become a habit now. Our country is doomed. Gone case.”
Another pointed out, “They also leave the bikes anywhere they want.”
Expressing frustration over instant delivery services, a person wrote, “This nonsensical 10 min delivery by all instant delivery apps is making sure none of their delivery partners follow basic traffic rules & endangering lives on the road. Nothing less than 30 min deliveries should be allowed in the city.”
“Fools like these are not just endangering their lives but others too. If only the police enforced rules with severity. Swiggy Instamart can you please warn them against blatant rule breaking while wearing your uniforms?” an individual questioned.
Another remarked, “Lucky for the Samaritan.’ Had it been a short tempered-low impulse guy, road rage would have led to a fatal incident.”
One user pointed out the pressure faced by delivery agents, writing “There has to be a rule against putting a timeline to delivery. 10 minutes delivery in traffic like Bangalore pressurises delivery agents and they endanger their lives to meet the commitments.”
