No detention policy abolished, Education Ministry told which schools will be affected


No detention policy has been abolished by the Education Ministry. Under which the students who were passed even after failing in 5th and 8th class, will no longer get its benefit.

Let us tell you that the Education Ministry gave detailed information on the No Detention Policy notification within a few hours. It has been clarified that under this amendment, students who fail in class 5th and 8th exams will no longer be passed.

Applicable to these schools also

However, till now this will be done in centrally governed schools. This amendment will be applicable to Kendriya Vidyalaya, Navodaya School, Sainik School, Paramilitary School i.e. schools established under the Central Government.

Will make a difference to the results

This is being done to further improve the results of government schools. Earlier, under this rule, students who failed were promoted to the second class. Opinion was sought from educationists regarding the no detention policy, according to which students were not taking education seriously due to this policy.

These states took the decision

No-detention policy is already over in 16 states. Which includes Assam, Bihar, Gujarat, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu and Kashmir, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Punjab, Rajasthan, Sikkim, Tamil Nadu, Tripura, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, Delhi, Dadra and Nagar Haveli and Daman and Diu. . According to the Education Ministry, Haryana and Puducherry have not yet taken the final decision.
