A passenger handed out flight attendants a printed “Flight Allergy List” filled with unusual demands. The list, shared by another traveller on X (formerly Twitter), asked for a ban on items including coffee, cashews, cologne, and even jet fuel. The post quickly attracted backlash, with many users mocking the extensive and impractical nature of the requests.
Some questioned how the passenger expected a flight to operate under such restrictions, while others labelled the demands as unrealistic and entitled.
“Imagine sitting next to a passenger like this?” an X user wrote when posting a photo of the “allergy” list.
“NO Coffee (highly allergic even to smell), NO Cashews, NO fragrance or chemical smells (Cologne, Perfume, Scented Soap or Body Lotion, NO Gasoline or Airplane Fuel),” the long letter read. “I am highly allergic to the smell of coffee and would appreciate it if you could refrain from brewing coffee. As even the smell can stop my breathing,” the letter also added.
The passenger also requested a large bottle of water, explaining, “I have several medications to take and, as a result, drink a lot of water. If you could provide a large bottle at the beginning of the flight, it would be greatly appreciated, so I don’t have to keep asking for refills.”
The letter ended with a note of gratitude: “Thank you for your patience and understanding in trying to make the flight as enjoyable as possible for me. I appreciate you.”

Shared on May 20, the post garnered over 2,000 views so far. The post also drew widespread criticism and mockery, with many ridiculing the passenger’s extensive list of demands.
A user wrote, “I would kindly let them know they can either die from the coffee smell or from my lack of coffee and then let them make the decision.”
Another said, “Baloney! I have a long list of allergies, but, for the most part, that’s my problem, not yours. I do wish people were more considerate about fragrances, bc my lungs suck (or, well, they don’t very well). But you can eat avocados, bananas, and venison until you can’t take another bite. You can wear latex, but please keep it to yourself. Oh, and I have at least 4 Epipens when I fly. My problem. Not yours.”
“I understand the concerns about the nuts and the question about water because of the medication. All the other stuff is plain hilarious,” an individual commented.
“Sorry, but take a private plane or keep an Epipen handy. If not approved by a CRO (Complaint Resolution Official) from the airlines, then it doesn’t have to be enforced,” another user remarked.
Some users argued that the passenger shouldn’t be flying at all with such extreme demands, while others couldn’t stop laughing at the sheer absurdity of the list.
