New tariff on 100 countries going to trump from 1 August; Is India also included in the list

Trump Tariff: The US is going to impose 10 percent recipes on imports from about 100 countries from August 1, 2025. Officials believe that this has reserved the global trade policy on a large scale. American Treasury Secretary Scott Besant confirmed this and said that the baseline tariff is going to be widely implemented. It is also applying to those countries, who are currently interacting with America regarding tariffs.

Speaking to Bloomberg Television, Besant said, “Now it is to see what the President’s stand is towards him, whom they are talking to with him at this time.” Is he happy that these countries are talking keeping in mind the mutual interest. We are going to install a minimum 10 percent recipes on about 100 countries and the rate will be increased from here.

Does India also have a name among these 100 countries?

Meanwhile, President Trump said while talking to reporters, he has signed new rates of tariffs under ‘Take it or Leave It’ framework from 12 countries. Formal proposals are expected to be sent on Monday. However, he refused to name the countries involved in it, but the list allegedly included members of India, Japan and European Union.

India may increase and pressure

The administration says that tariffs have been designed to promote more favorite trade terms for American exports. In this, almost half the countries of the world have been targeted. It is one of the most aggressive trade restructuring in the last ten years. The deadline of 26 percent tariffs imposed on goods imported from India from India is ending on 9 July. In such a situation, India is already under pressure. If there is no trade deal in the meantime, then India may have to spend more on exports from August.
