People who frequently visit banks for deposits or withdrawals understand the complexities of banking. For individuals with limited education, these complexities can be particularly daunting. Consequently, customers often provide incomplete or unclear information on bank documents, leaving bank employees perplexed.
A photo of a deposit slip has recently gone viral, sparking a flurry of comments online. The image has caused quite a stir, with some users humorously claiming that the bank manager fainted after seeing it. News18 Hindi, however, cannot verify the authenticity of this viral image.
The photo circulating on the Instagram account “@smartprem19″ depicts a woman’s State Bank of India deposit slip with a humorous message. The slip’s date, however, raises doubts about its authenticity. It displays “29 January 2025,” a date in the future. This discrepancy suggests that the deposit slip may be fabricated.

The deposit slip reveals curious entries. The slip identifies the woman as Radhika Sharma and displays her account number, which appears to be inaccurate. Intending to deposit Rs 10,000, she instead provided unconventional details.
In the cash/cheque section, she wrote, “I have to visit a fair with my husband.” Furthermore, she filled the amount field with “Kumbh” and the total amount section with “Kumbh Mela!” instead of the deposit amount.
This photo has garnered 1.5 million views, and numerous comments reflect the audience’s reactions. Observations range from amusement to disbelief, with one person stating, “When did the date become 29 January 2025!” Another simply remarked, “The date is wrong.” Several comments highlighted the discrepancy between the name “R” and the assigned zodiac sign, Aquarius, noting that Libra is the corresponding sign. Humorous takes on the situation also surfaced. One commenter jested that “No power in the world could stop Madam from travelling,” while another quipped, “The bank manager is in a coma after reading this!”
