A heartwarming and hilarious moment aboard a Delta Air Lines flight is winning hearts on social media. Passengers burst into laughter when the pilot made a light-hearted in-flight announcement, reassuring everyone about their safety — and cheekily adding that he had a personal reason to land on time. The viral video has left social media users just as amused as those on board.
In the now-viral video, the pilot stood in the aisle and addressed the passengers with a lighthearted message. He said, “Once again, I can assure you that we are going to do things absolutely 100% safe, secure, and get you there. I am married – 33 years. My wife, 4 kids, 2 dogs, 8 chickens. She is tired of going out and taking care of those chickens in the cold.”
The pilot then added, “She wants me to get home Friday morning. If I don’t get home by Friday, she is going to kill me. So, I can assure you, we are going to get there.”
The video also features a text overlay that reads, “Our Delta pilot assuring us that we will arrive safely because he has to get home to take care of his 8 chickens.”
The post was captioned with, “Delta Air Lines pilot has his priorities straight.”

Since being shared online, the video has garnered more than eight lakh views. The comments section was flooded with reactions from people who absolutely loved the pilot’s fun announcement. Take a look at some of the remarks:
One user commented, “Love this. I always like my pilot to reassure our safe arrival.”
Another wrote, “This would make me trust them 600%. I, too, must arrive home safely for my chickens and piglets. LOL.”
“The kind of assurance I need,” someone else jokingly said while another remarked, “Protect this man at all costs.”
A viewer called the pilot “MVP – Most Valuable Pilot.”
Another comment read, “This would have eased my whole soul. Bless this pilot.”
An individual suggested, “There should be an option during booking to select a pilot that will provide a reassuring pep talk before take-off.”
Another viral moment from the skies is tickling the internet — this time from a Spirit Airlines flight. A flight attendant had passengers in splits when she put a hilarious spin on the usual safety demonstration.
After explaining how emergency oxygen masks work, she decided to test how many passengers were actually paying attention. “Point to where the oxygen masks come from,” she asked. Only a few got it right.
With perfect comedic timing, she quipped, “That’s great. Only the three of you are going to get oxygen.” Her witty delivery won the passengers’ attention.
