Nag Panchami is an important festival of Hinduism, which is celebrated on the Panchami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Sawan month. Today, the festival of Nag Panchami is being celebrated on Tuesday 29 July 2025. This day is dedicated to the worship of serpents.

According to the legend, the festival of Nag Panchami is celebrated in honor of the Nagas since the protecting the life of the serpents by the believer sage.

Religious belief is that by worshiping the serpents, Kalsarp Dosha is removed, Shiva’s blessings are received. According to mythological beliefs, Nag is associated with the balance, rain and wealth of the earth.

Along with this, Nag Panchami has an opportunity for mental peace and self -purification. According to the scriptures, the serpents are said to be revered as the deity. Poisonous thoughts like fear, anger, jealousy are also removed from the worship of serpents.

Just as the serpent remains balanced by keeping poisonous poison within them, in the same way, humans should also be balanced and restrained by abandoning the poisonous thoughts like odor, anger, jealousy, greed etc.

Therefore, Nag Panchami is also the day of introspection when we look within ourselves and decide what is the thing that is dissolving poison in our life. On the auspicious day of Nag Panchami, remove these poisonous things from your life.
