Mumtaz, who gave a superhit film with Rajesh Khanna, did only one film with Amitabh

Mumtaz and Amitabh Bachchan Film: Actress Mumtaz’s pair with superstar Rajesh Khanna was very much frozen. He worked in many superhit films. But Mumtaz did the same film with Amitabh. The actress talked about working with megastar Amitabh Bachchan. He told that he worked in only one film with Amitabh.

In a conversation with Rhodio Nasha, Mumtaz said, ‘I left school in fourth class. I started working as extra in the film. I was 7 years old and I used to get 500 rupees from a role. Out of that, we had to give 100 rupees to him, who used to get us work. Used to give the rest of the money to her mother. At the same time, Amitabh ji was a very educated and classy man. He was a well-known person. He had a bungalow and a good life. So I could not understand why he wanted to become an actor.

Mumtaz and Amitabh worked together

Let me tell you that Mumtaz and Amitabh Bachchan worked in the 1973 film Bandh Hath. The film was directed by OP Goyle. This was the first time Mumtaz and Amitabh were seen together. The film may not be remembered as much today, but this film holds a special place in Mumtaz’s heart.

Mumtaz told, ‘Amitabh Bachchan used to come from a family with money. He was well known and educated. He wanted to work and I said yes. We made that film. I was happy to work with him. He was a very good person. He has a class, I wish I could do more film with him so that I could learn more from him.

Let me tell you that the tied hand came the same year when Amitabh’s big film Zanjeer came. Zanjeer gave Amitabh the title of Angry Youngman. After this, Amitabh gave a hit film one after the other.
