Old notebooks and diaries often end up forgotten on shelves or discarded as clutter. But when rediscovered, they can evoke powerful memories. One such moment recently caught attention on Reddit, sparking nostalgia and curiosity among users.
A member of the IndiaSocial group, using the handle Ashamed_Presence_576, shared a photo of a diary they had found from 2018.
He wrote along with the post: “I found my old diary from 2018. I found this written on the last page.” The photo he shared shows that very final page.
The note reads: “I want to punch all those people who think that I don’t know anything.” Something else was written above it, which the user chose to hide before sharing. Judging by the tone of the message, it appears he was deeply frustrated—possibly feeling underestimated or dismissed by those around him at the time.
While the post hasn’t gone viral, it has received a modest number of reactions and comments.
One commenter asked, “Did you hit anyone or not?” to which the user replied, “This is still a dream.” Another pointed out the significance of the username, implying that the individual might feel ashamed of his existence. A different user speculated that the original poster might have eventually proven his detractors wrong by now.
