Ace cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni channeled his inner ‘Animal’ as the former Indian captain mimicked Bollywood actor Ranbir Kapoor’s aggressive role Ranvijay Singh in a hilarious advertisement with filmmaker Sandeep Reddy Vanga.
In the advertisement for an electric cycle company, EMotorad, Dhoni could be seen in long hair, just like Kapoor in the movie ‘Animal’.
The ad shows Dhoni getting down from his swanky car (recreating one of the scenes of the movie) and crossing the road with an e-cycle in hand instead of a gun. Further, an epic conversation unfolds as Vanga praises the former Indian captain’s acting and claimed people would love it.

To this, Dhoni, in his Animal character, replies, “Sunayi de raha hai mujhe, behra nahi hoon mai. (I can hear you, I’m not deaf)”.
Vanga excitedly says, “Ab hua na mera hero ready. (Now my hero is ready)”.
At a point in the ad, Dhoni even asks Vanga, “Ye Thoda Zyada Nahi Hogaya? (Isn’t this too much?)”
The final shot was the closing scene from the Animal movie where Dhoni once again mimicked Ranbir.
The campaign has ignited a frenzy online, with viewers praising the execution. One social media user quipped, “EMotorad got Thala and Vanga together before GTA 6!” while another noted, “This is the first ad I’ve Googled myself and watched five times!” The crossover of sports and cinema, two of India’s biggest entertainment industries, has struck a chord with audiences.
All eyes will be on MS Dhoni as he gears up for the 18th season of the Indian Premier League (IPL), where he will represent Chennai Super Kings (CSK) at the remarkable age of 43.
