YouTube giants MrBeast and T-Series have subscribed to each other’s channels in what can be considered a full-circle moment after the two have been running in this race for years. To many, this new collab is the “biggest collab ever,” revving the end of this competitive subscriber race that has taken over the world of online video for several years now. The moment was captured in a video and was like a jungle fire across all platforms, sending fans and commentators crazy.
On December 10, 2024, MrBeast went to India, where he made a rather thrilling proposition to Bhushan Kumar: “If you subscribe to me, I’ll subscribe to T-Series.” That playful offer cheered up Kumar and almost in a split second, the Indian business magnate approved of the proposition by clicking that Subscribe button. At first, the CEO playfully teased MrBeast, telling him he needed to subscribe later, as his phone had gone out of battery. MrBeast also fulfilled the promise shortly afterwards.
This collaboration announcement went viral in no time. The fans went berserk on Instagram and X (formerly Twitter), showcasing their happiness and surprise. On one side, T-Series posted the moment and wrote, “We Got Mr. Beast To Subscribe T-Series,” while MrBeast himself challenged Kumar to a boxing match in a different post, keeping the light mood of his usual videos intact. The playful nature of their interaction resonated with audiences, who celebrated the end of their rivalry as some sort of unity for the YouTube community.
A user commented: “We got T-Series and Mrbeast collaboration before GTA 6.”
A comment read: “Casually giving us the biggest unexpected moments of 2024.”
Another comment read: “World is not for Competition, it’s for collaboration..!!”
A user humorously noted: “PewDiePie crying”.
The competition between MrBeast (Jimmy Donaldson) and T-Series, an India-based music label and movie production company belonging to Bhushan Kumar, is probably among the most highlighted competitions to have happened on YouTube. For years, the two channels have been struggling to set themselves apart for the biggest number of subscribers on YouTube. As of June 2024, MrBeast outpaced T-Series with about 267 million subscribers against the 266 million subscribers that T-Series had. This competition began in earnest around 2018, when another popular YouTuber, PewDiePie, was in a similar battle against T-Series and received widespread support from fans and creators alike.
