A shocking case has emerged from the Bhawaniganj area of Uttar Pradesh’s Siddharthnagar district. A 40-year-old woman left her husband and four children to marry her lover, who is 15 years younger than her. The woman, identified as Janki Devi, was reportedly having an affair with the 24-year-old man for the past four years, whom she met at a relative’s house and slowly fell in love with.
She had already been married for 28 years and was a mother to four children, with her eldest daughter being 18, her eldest son being 16, her second son being 12, and her youngest child being 8. Despite having a family, she decided to elope with her young lover and marry him in a court ceremony.

Her husband, Ramcharam Prajapati, came back to his village upon knowing that his wife was having an affair. He previously worked in Mumbai as a tile-layer. He shared that after he returned home, his wife faced obstacles in meeting with her lover, which led to frequent quarrels between him and Janki Devi. Almost a year back, she decided to elope with her young lover, but returned after a few months. She had apologised to her husband back then and resumed living with her family.
More recently, she left the house once again, and this time, she married the 24-year-old man. Following this, her husband lodged a complaint at the local police station. The two parties reached a settlement there, where Janaki decided to live with her lover, while the custody of her four children would remain with Ramcharan.
Reportedly, Ramcharan also expressed his fear for life, sharing that he was scared that his wife might feed him something harmful or do something to him. That’s why he decided to let her go and live with her lover. Meanwhile, Janaki mentioned that she no longer misses her four children, and since the settlement, she has been living with her new husband.
