‘Missing Ladies’ created history, nominated for Japan Academy Film Prize

Laapata Ladies Nominated For Japan Film Prize: Aamir Khan Productions and Kiran Rao’s direction, ‘Lapata Ladies’ touched the audience’s heart with his story. The film has been selected in five best international films out of 204 international films released in Japan Academy Film Prize 2024. Now everyone’s eyes are on March 14, when the award winner of ‘Best International Film’ will be announced.

‘Missing Ladies’ has been shortlisted for the title of ‘Best International Film’, leaving behind 204 eligible films. The film’s director Kiran Rao is now in competition with veterans like Christopher Nolan, Yorgos Lantimos, Alex Garland and Jonathan Glazer. Apart from this, films like ‘Poor Things’, ‘Optimmer’, ‘The Zone of Interest’ and ‘Civil War’ are competed with ‘missing Ladies’.

The film won the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024
Apart from this, ‘Missing Ladies’ has made another big achievement. After getting an entry for the Oscar, the film has also won the ‘Best Film Critics’ Choice Award in the Indian Film Festival of Melbourne 2024 (IFFM).

Biplab Goswami’s award is based on winning story
The story of ‘Missing Ladies’ is based on a story winning an award by Biplab Goswami. The screenplays and dialogues of the film have been written by Sneha Desai and some extra dialogues are added by Divyanidhi Sharma. The film is still going well in theaters of Japan and is getting a lot of love from the people.
