Missile attack on airport in Tel Aviv, Air India and other airlines canceled flights


Air India Suspend Flights: On Sunday (May 4, 2025), many airlines including Air India of India have canceled their flights after the missile attack of Israeli’s main city of Tel Aviv. On behalf of Yemen’s Huki rebels, a missile fired towards Israel fell near Ben Gurian Airport, causing smoke in the air and panic among the passengers.

The Israeli ambulance service said that 8 people are being taken to the hospital, in which the condition of one person is critical. Airlines, which announced the postponement of operations for Tel Aviv, include Germany’s Lufthansa, British Airways, Air India and US Delta Airlines.

Many airlines including Air India postponed flights till 7 May
Lufthansa said that by May 6, flights coming from Tel Aviv have been suspended. Apart from this, it has also been said by Eurovings, Swiss, Austrian and Brussels Airlines that it is stopping services due to the current situation. According to the report of the news agency AFP, the British Airways has said that all the flights coming from Tel Aviv are being suspended by May 7. We are constantly monitoring operating conditions and we have decided to suspend all our flights from Tel Aviv, including BA-405 by 7 May.

Air India said that flights between Delhi and Tel Aviv will be suspended till May 6. The airline spokesman said that as a result, our flights from Tel Aviv will be suspended by immediate effect till 6 May 2025 to ensure the safety of our customers and employees. Our employees are assisting customers and helping them make alternative arrangements. The airline said in a statement that we are constantly monitoring operating conditions and we have decided to suspend all our flights from Tel Aviv till Wednesday 7 May.
