A study published in the Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences states that on an average 1 liter of bottled water contains about 2.4 lakh small pieces of plastic. About 90% of these plastic pieces are nanoplastics.

Biomedical engineer Zimin Yu of Guangzhou Medical University and his team said that boiling water removes the harmful elements present in it and protects the body from the harm caused by it.
