Recently, director Apoorva Lakhia appeared in the podcast of Comedian Cyrus Brocha. There he narrated a scary anecdote. He told that once he was doing scidling, his parachute did not open on time. Because of this, he fell down fast and his leg was hurt.

Apoorva Lakhia shared scary anecdote

Apoorva Lakhia said, “The incident took place in Thailand. When you do scidling from a height of 14,000 or 16,000 feet and opens the parachute, a test has to be done before getting down. Both sides of the parachute have ‘dongles’, which work like car steering.”

He further explained, “First you pull the left dongle, then the parachute turns to the left. Then you pull the right, then turns to the right. Then you turn the brakes, so that the parachute stops and comes down. But when I draw the left dongle, he came out in my hand. Was.”

How the director saved himself

Apoorva Lakhiya said, “If I had not done anything at the right time, I could have lost my life. But I did not panic, because we have been taught that there is no panic in such a condition. In such a situation the plan is ‘B’, under which the old parachute has to leave and open our reserve parachute.”

He told that but there was a big problem here. The old parachute was according to their weight. At that time his weight was around 100 kg, and the strength of the parachute was to handle 280 kg. But the reserve parachute was only up to 100 kg, so he fell down fast and he got hurt.

Director Apoorva Lakhia said that the injury to the leg in this accident was soon cured.
