The Meerut murder case has grabbed the nation’s attention following the gruesome murder of Saurabh Rajput by his wife, Muskan Rastogi, and her lover, Sahil Shukla. With fresh developments making headlines ever since a song has now left the Internet shocked. Titled “Drum Mei Raja”, the song has gone viral for its eerie lyrical resemblance to the case. Social media users were stunned to find lyrics referencing a man being stuffed into a drum if he displeases the woman — a line that mirrors the gruesome method used in the Meerut murder, sparking intense debate across social media.

However, it’s the visuals of the song that have truly left viewers stunned. In a bizarre and unsettling coincidence, background dancers can be seen using blue drums as props throughout the performance. At one point, the dancers even stand inside the drums with their hands and mouths tied.

“Bhojpuri singers don’t even spare murder cases!” the video’s caption read. Many took to the comment section and shared their thoughts about the song. A user wrote, “Strange to think that once Bihar was a place where people from all over the world came to learn about civilization. It seems the sense of civilization has long gone in many people there,” while another added, “You can create lyrics with any trending topic with catchy beats and raunchy steps. But this is off-limits.”

“That’s how they normalise these gruesome things,” another one added. One of them even asked to take action against the songmakers and wrote, “Please take action. These people are promoting a horrible crime that can disrupt peace in society.”

It is now yet to be seen if the song will be getting into any legal trouble, owing to its mockery of the brutal murder case.

Coming back to the case, a fresh development has emerged — the prime accused, Muskan Rastogi, is reportedly pregnant. Authorities have confirmed that an ultrasound will be conducted to verify her condition. The brutal crime took place on the night of March 4, when Muskan and her lover, Sahil Shukla, allegedly murdered Saurabh Rajput. The duo is accused of dismembering his body, severing his head and hands, and concealing the remains in a blue drum filled with cement. Both Muskan and Sahil are currently in judicial custody as the investigation continues.
