The youth of Uttar Pradesh have once again proved that they are not behind anyone in the country on the strength of hard work, dedication and talent. According to India Skills Report 2025, 80% of UP’s youth are ranked first across the country in mathematical skills and computer skills. Not only this, UP is also included in the top states of the country in the number of youths desiring critical thinking and internship.
However, Uttar Pradesh has to be satisfied with third place in English proficiency, where Maharashtra is first and Karnataka is second. It has been said in the report that in terms of youths between 18 and 25 years of age, UP is ranked first in the country in terms of employment resources, while UP has got third place in the category of 26 to 29 years.
According to the report, after Tamil Nadu, the most youth choose Uttar Pradesh for internship, which is clear that there is a strong network of skill development along with opportunities in the state.
The Global Employment Test (Gate), which was conducted by the ETS Vibox, presents the data of this report. This test assesses the employment skills of students and professionals worldwide including India.
Top position in computer skills too
In mathematical skills, UP has secured the first place by beating Andhra Pradesh. In this list, Madhya Pradesh is third, Punjab fourth, and Telangana fifth. At the same time, in computer skills, UP has got the top position, leaving behind the country.
Talking about the data of employment availability, UP is in sixth place. In this list, Maharashtra is first, Delhi second, and Karnataka third. However, UP has recorded a big achievement by including itself in the top six, leaving behind states like Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and West Bengal.
Lucknow joined this list
Interestingly, now Lucknow has also joined the list of cities which provide the most employment in the country. Such as Pune, Bangalore, Mumbai, Delhi, Thrissur, Hyderabad and Guntur.
