
Maruti Suzuki Swift: Suzuki Motor Corporation has decided to stop the production of its Swift model in Japan from May 2026. This has been revealed in a report by Nikkei. However, Suzuki’s Indian subsidiary company Maruti Suzuki has clearly stated that it will not affect the Swift made in India. According to a report in the Republic Business, the spokesperson of Maruti Suzuki says, “Production is reported in Japan, not in India.”
Earlier, Rahul Bharti, Senior Executive Director of Corporate Affairs, has also said that China’s ban on the export of rare meaning elements is expected to have negligible impact on the company.
According to reports, India has enough reserves of rees. India imports it because the removal or processing techniques in India have not yet developed as much. Now in such a situation, due to this ban of China in the coming time, countries like India and Japan come forward to cooperate with each other.
90 percent supplier of China Rare Earth Elements
It is being told that China is a 90 percent supplier of these rare meanings elements. In such a situation, Suzuki has to take this step in Japan due to a decrease in supply. According to a report by Nikkei Business Daily, Japan can propose collaboration with the US on the supply strategy during the next conversation on tariffs. Through this, by reducing its dependence on China, Japan wants to ensure the access of its economy to many important minerals.
