
Stock Market Today: The domestic market opened with flat on Thursday, 15 May 2015, the fourth trading day of the week. The Sensex slipped down 88.70 points, or 0.11 per cent, under a mixed trend in the global market. After this, the Sensex was trading at the level of 81,239.95. But after that, the Sensex slipped 230 points at around 9:30 pm. Whereas, the Nifty is open at 24,637.80 with a decline of 29.10 points i.e. 0.12 per cent.
Asian markets also decline
On the other hand, the Asian market showed a decline today. After the trade deal between the US and China, the market had high hopes from him, despite this, this is the condition of the market. Japan’s Nikkei fell down 0.90 percent, while the topics also slipped 0.76 percent. However, in the US, S&P 500 showed a slight increase of 0.10 percent while Dow Jones was 0.21 percent. Nasdaq climbed up 0.72 percent.
Earlier, the local stock market gained momentum on Wednesday amid softening of retail inflation and globally positive trend and both standard index were in profit due to select buying. While the BSE Sensex strengthened 182 points, the NSE Nifty increased by more than 88 points.
Market boom a day before
The BSE Sensex based on 30 shares closed at 81,330.56 points with a gain of 182.34 points, or 0.22 percent. During the trading, it went up to 81,691.87 points and came down to 80,910.03 points. The BSE stood at 2,857 shares profit, while 1,121 shares declined. At the same time there was no change in the price of 147.
Tata Steel gained 3.88 percent among the companies involved in the Sensex. Apart from this, Eternal, Tech Mahindra, Maruti, Mahindra & Mahindra, Infosys, IndusInd Bank, HCL Tech, Tata Consultancy Services and Bharti Airtel were prominently benefited. Telecom company Airtel’s stock rose by one percent. The company’s integrated net profit on March 2025, 5 times in the quarter to Rs 11,022 crore, rose in its stock. On the other hand, shares in loss include Asian Paints, Tata Motors, Kotak Mahindra Bank, NTPC and Powergrid.
