Malaysian plane went missing 10 years ago, whoever finds the wreckage will get a treasure worth Rs 6 billion!

MH370 Missing Flight: Ten years after the disappearance of MH370, one of the biggest mysteries in the history of aviation, it has been announced that the search for it will be resumed. Malaysia’s Transport Minister Anthony Locke announced on Friday (20 December 2024) that the government has agreed to a $70 million proposal to resume the search for Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, which mysteriously disappeared in 2014. The operation is scheduled to resume under an 18-month contract with Ocean Infinity, AFP news agency reports.

This plane went missing 10 years ago. There were 239 people in it. Many investigative campaigns were started in this regard but till now no success has been achieved. The new campaign will be under the supervision of Ocean Infinity and will focus on the Southern Indian Ocean.

US-based robotics company Ocean Infinity will be paid only when the plane debris is found and recovered. This Texas-based company plans to start exploration between January and April.

no debris no money

The Boeing 777 aircraft went missing on March 8, 2014 while en route from Kuala Lumpur to Beijing. The initial investigation lasted for about three years. This investigation was stopped in the year 2017. It was then estimated in satellite images that the plane had crashed in the southern Indian Ocean. But despite a long search, the debris has not been found yet.

Under the new search campaign, the new search in 15,000 square kilometers will be done on the basis of “no debris, no money”. AFP news agency quoted Locke as saying, “The proposal for a search operation from Ocean Infinity is solid and should be considered.” The agreement is expected to be finalized by early 2025, ensuring that Malaysia will pay the company only when enough debris is found.
