A college student in Maharashtra took to the skies to reach his exam centre on time. Samarth Mahangde, a first-year B.Com student, was serving juice to customers when he suddenly realised he had only a few minutes left before his exam was set to begin. With heavy traffic on the roads, Mahangde opted to paraglide to the exam centre.
Mahangade paraglided from Harrison Folly Point along the Pasarni Ghat section, which connects Panchgani and Mahabaleshwar, to his exam centre. A video of him gliding through the sky with a bag on his back has been going viral on Instagram.
Mahangde, who runs a sugarcane juice stall at Harrison Folly, was busy serving tourists on December 15, when he realised the time crunch. Since Harrison Folly is a well-known paragliding hotspot, he decided to use the same means to reach his exam centre.
Govind Yewale, an adventure sports expert from GP Adventures in Panchgani, arranged the necessary equipment for him and ensured his safe flight over the traffic-clogged roads.
The student successfully landed near his college, making it just in time for his exam.
On Instagram, the video is nearing one million views and numerous comments.
