World First Trillionaire: Now the race to become a billionaire has started in the world. While earlier being a billionaire was considered a matter of great status, now this measure of wealth also seems to be becoming outdated. According to Oxfam’s annual inequality report, the world may get its first trillionaire in the next five years. The report claims that in the next decade the wealth of at least five billionaires will cross the $1 trillion mark.
Elon Musk will be at the forefront
Oxfam’s report says that Tesla and SpaceX owner Elon Musk, who is currently the world’s richest person and a friend of US President-elect Donald Trump, can achieve this position in less than five years. . According to Bloomberg Billionaires Index, Musk’s current wealth is $449 billion. His wealth increased by $203 billion in 2024, making his chances of becoming a trillionaire stronger.
These names are also included in the list
Apart from Elon Musk, Amazon founder Jeff Bezos, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg, Oracle founder Larry Ellison and France’s richest man Bernard Arnault are also in the race. Talking about Jeff Bezos, he is at second place in the list of rich with assets of $245 billion. At the same time, Mark Zuckerberg is in third place with assets of $217 billion. The wealth of both Larry Ellison and Bernard Arnault is around $188 billion.
Adani Ambani included in top 20
The names of two leading Indian industrialists are also among the 20 richest in the world. Mukesh Ambani is at 17th place with wealth of $94.6 billion, while Gautam Adani is at 19th place with wealth of $76.0 billion. However, both these giants are still far behind in the race to become trillionaires.
Estimate of five trillionaires
The report has been released at a time when the World Economic Forum is meeting in Davos, Switzerland. The report says that the rapid pace at which the wealth of the world’s rich is increasing may further increase the gap in economic inequality. Oxfam had earlier predicted the emergence of only one trillionaire, but has now revised it to estimate at least five trillionaires in the next decade.
