A woman in Gurugram was injured after a chained pet Husky attacked her during a walk inside a residential complex. The incident was caught on video.

A woman in Haryana’s Gurugram was injured after a pet dog bit her while she was taking a walk on the premises of her residential complex.

A widely shared video of the incident showed the moment the woman was attacked by a Husky, reportedly on Sunday. At the time of the incident, the pet dog was chained by its owner.

In the video, the woman could be seen walking on the compound, talking to some other people with her. Another woman could be seen walking a pet Husky.

Moments later, the dog attacked the woman, leading her to fall to the ground, while the dog’s owner tried to bring it under control.

The woman was helped by others nearby.

In another incident, 68-year-old Seethappa, a resident of Kempagowdanagar in Yelahanka, Bengaluru, was suspected to have died as a result of a stray dog attack.

Citing local sources, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) said the victim had gone to a tea shop near his house at around 3 am on July 28. As there was no one around at that time, it was not clear what exactly happened to Seethappa.

According to BBMP, when somebody spotted a badly injured Seethappa, they registered a complaint with 112, following which police reached the spot. However, when he was taken to Yelahanka Government Health Centre, he was declared brought dead.

No conclusive evidence, such as CCTV footage or eyewitness testimony, was available, Suralkar Vikas Kishor, Special Commissioner, Health and Sanitation Department, BBMP, told news agency PTI.
