Indian YouTuber Jyoti Malhotracurrently under investigation for alleged espionage, made two trips to Pakistan — the most recent one just two months before the deadly terror attack in Pahalgam. Her repeated visits to the neighbouring country have triggered serious scrutiny from Indian security agencies.
Multiple videos from her travels are now circulating widely on social media. In one clip, Malhotra is seen dining at a restaurant in Lahore with a group of people. While she appears to be engaged in a casual conversation, News18 cannot independently verify whether the individuals were friends or acquaintances.
Another viral image shows the vlogger alongside Maryam Nawaz Sharif — daughter of former Pakistan Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif and the current Chief Minister of Punjab province — further fuelling questions about her connections in Pakistan.

Jyoti Malhotra’s Pakistan Visits
Malhotra, a resident of Hisarfirst visited Pakistan in 2023, with her visa reportedly arranged through commission agents. Her second trip came two months ago, during which she documented her journey extensively through vlogs and reels. She shared videos exploring Lahore’s Anarkali Bazaar, the Katas Raj Temple Complex, and even showcased her cross-country travel by bus.
On her YouTube channel ‘Travel with JO’, Malhotra posted several videos with titles like “Indian Girl in Pakistan,” “Indian Girl Exploring Lahore,” and “Indian Girl at Katas Raj Temple.” In one of her posts, she wrote “Ishq Lahore” as she compared Indian and Pakistani cultures and local cuisine.
While her videos gained traction for their cross-border cultural appeal, investigators are now combing through her social media footprint to understand the nature and intent behind her visits.

Malhotra was also spotted at the Pakistan High Commission in New Delhi. Danish, a Pakistan High Commission officer, along with some other officials were seen in the video posted by her on YouTube. Danish, alias Ehsan-ur-Rahim, was declared persona non grata for indulging in activities not in keeping with his official status in India.

Jyoti’s father Harish Malhotra said that the YouTuber told her that she was going to Delhi. ” I didn’t know, she had told me that she was going to Delhi. She never told me anything. None of her friends visited our home…yesterday, the Police brought her here, she took her clothes and left, she did not say anything to me…I don’t know what to say…she used to make videos at home…I never said that she visited Pakistan, she used to tell me that she was going to Delhi…I have no demands, whatever is going to happen, will happen,” he said.
