A video of this unusual preparation has gone viral on Instagram, sparking widespread reactions and debate among food enthusiasts. The now-trending reel captures the step-by-step process of this bizarre food experiment.
The vendor begins by pouring approximately half a can of Monster Energy drink onto a hot flat pan. He then cracks several eggs directly into the drink. As the mixture begins to cook, he stirs it continuously, adding chopped green chillies for an added kick.
The cooking doesn’t end there. The vendor proceeds to pour the remaining energy drink into the pan, allowing it to simmer with the eggs and chillies. Finally, he serves the flavoured scrambled eggs on a traditional leaf plate.
Alongside the video, the user mentions that this peculiar dish is available in Kolkata. The caption reads, “India’s Craziest Monster Energy Scrambled Eggs!”
Even the official Instagram account of Monster Energy weighed in on the unusual culinary creation, commenting, “I mean…why not?”
The clip has garnered significant attention and a flurry of comments expressing a mix of shock, curiosity, and amusement. While some expressed reacted with scepticism and disbelief, questioning the flavour combination, others said that Indian street chefs always find a new way to surprise viewers.
