‘Soldiers are afraid of life’
The video reported that many Ukrainian border guards refused to do this work due to their moral and psychological situation and also cited their poor health status. According to the report, one of the border guards said that he is afraid of losing his life. ‘Ukraine’s more than 61,000 soldiers killed’
In February, the Russian Defense Ministry claimed that more than 61,000 soldiers from Ukraine were killed in the Kursk region. Speaking to the Russian military newspaper ‘Krasnaya Jewjda’, a senior Russian military officer said that the Russian army had gained 64 per cent control of the Kursk region, which was captured by the Ukrainian army after a sudden attack last year.
The Ukrainian armed forces attacked the Kursk region on 6 August 2024. Russian President Vladimir Putin had said that Ukraine’s infiltration in the Kursk region has no meaning from a military-seminar point of view. Former Ukrainian Army General Dimitri Marcho also said that there was no clear motive of invasion in the Kursk region. Despite this, it included the best units of the Ukrainian army. He resigned after making this statement.
