In today’s competitive world, materialistic things like money, a lavish home, a luxury car and a six-figure salary describe how successful you are. Amid the everyday hustle to achieve a ‘successful’ life, a social media post has significantly shifted the focus to a more emotional goal: making your parents proud. Because isn’t this the only thing that matters? An Indian Nvidia employee recently offered his parents a tour of his office in California during their first trip to the United States, a sentiment that struck a chord with hundreds of young professionals.
Taking to X, Pratim Bhosale shared a picture of her parents standing in the lobby of the Nvidia office in California, with their faces covered with smile emoticons. Well, this was not just a simple office tour but was made possible by their elder son, who worked at an American multinational technology company.
“Parents have been in the US for the past few weeks. This is their first trip to the United States,” she wrote on X, sharing the photograph. She mentioned that her elder brother had taken their parents on various short trips during their stay, culminating in a visit to his employer at Nvidia.
“Today, they are in his California office. They had big smiles on their faces. I’m walking to my job in Amsterdam, and these photographs have brought tears to my eyes. Almost forgot this is the whole point,” she concluded.
