Israel Iran War: IAEA’s big statement has come on the attacks targeted by Iran’s nuclear facility by Israel. The International Atomic Energy Agency said on Tuesday (June 17, 2025) that Israel has caused major damage to the Natanj nuclear campus, one of the most intelligence and safe nuclear programs in Iran.
The United Nations atomic institution said that earlier it was believed that the Natanj nuclear campus is a facility that Israel could not successfully target due to being under the ground, but according to the data available with them, Israel has launched a big attack on the inner part of this facility.
In a post on social media platform X, IAEA said that based on the analysis of the high resolution satellite image collected after Friday attacks, IAEA has identified that the direct impact of the attacks on the Uranium enrichment plant is visible.
‘IAEA officials could not inspect the site’
IAEA further said that he is still assessing the situation. IAEA officials have not been able to inspect the site directly due to the increasing struggle. Currently, the situation is being assessed through the feedback received from its sources on the ground zero along with the high resolution satellite image.
The global nuclear surveillance institution had earlier confirmed that an overground promotion facility in the same campus was first destroyed in an previous attack. IAEA chief Rafael Gossi said on Monday that the power supply of the plant was the most damaged due to the damage to the power supply of the plant during the Centrifuge strike at the underground uranium facility.
Groxy also said that it seems that Iran’s Fordo nuclear plant has no major damage, where enrichment has exceeded 60 percent, which is very close to 90 percent of the requirement for arms production.
