23 The number of occasions a hat-trick has been claimed in IPL history. 19 bowlers have achieved this distinction in this elite tournament since the first instance, which came in the inaugural edition in 2008. Yuzvendra Chahal, appearing for Punjab Kings on 30 April 2025 in Chennai against CSK, claimed his second IPL hat-trick. His first hat-trick came for Rajasthan Royals against KKR at the Brabourne Stadium in Mumbai on 18 April 2022. He thus became the third IPL bowler to take a hat-trick more than once after Amit Mishra (thrice) and Yuvraj Singh (twice).
