
Bangladesh Interim Government : Amidst the ongoing conflict in Bangladesh, Mahfooz Alam, Special Secretary to the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, Mohammad Yunus, has given a warning to the media. He has warned Bangladeshi media against broadcasting news about Awami League’s student organization “Bangladesh Chhatra League”.
He said, “Bangladesh Chhatra League is the student wing of Awami League Party, which has now been banned.” Mahfooz Alam has requested the media to refuse to play any role in the publicity of a terrorist organization.
Any kind of attack on freedom of expression will not be tolerated: Mahfooz Alam
Special Secretary to the Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh further said, “The Interim Government of Bangladesh will not tolerate any attack on the country’s security and freedom of expression. If this happens then strict legal action will be taken against him.”
Some people are spreading lies: Mohammad Yunus
On Friday, Mohammad Yunus, Chief Advisor to the Interim Government of Bangladesh, released a list. This list contains the names of 44 policemen killed during the student protests in the months of July and August. This list has been published in the police headquarters. In this regard, he said that some people are making mistakes in the counting and continuously spreading lies.
On the other hand, Bangladesh Nationalist Party has drawn the attention of the interim government to some media reports. According to this media report, former Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has been seen walking in a park in Delhi with special security.
Free and fair elections should be held as soon as possible: Zainul Abedin Farooq
Bangladesh Nationalist Party’s Zainul Abedin Farooq has requested to improve the situation in the country as soon as possible and conduct free and fair elections. He further said that a conspiracy is being hatched against Mohammad Yunus to weaken the interim government ruling the country.
