TikTok star Emilie Kiser, who tragically lost her three-year-old son in May this year, may now be facing another ordeal. Her husband, Brady Kiser, could be charged with felony child abuse in connection with the incident that led to her son’s death. However, the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office has not yet made a final decision regarding prosecution.

Brady Kiser, husband of the 26-year-old influencer, was reportedly at home when their three-year-old son, Trigg, drowned in the family’s pool in Chandler, Arizona. Their newborn son, Theodore, was also in his father’s care at the time of the incident.

According to Chandler police, Brady said he had seen Trigg playing near the pool but did not intervene, believing it to be normal toddler behaviour. He also noted that the pool was covered with a protective cover. However, while he was occupied with caring for the newborn, Trigg went out of sight. When Brady found him, the toddler was floating in the pool. He immediately called 911 to seek help.

Despite attempts to resuscitate Trigg with CPR and rushing him to hospital, the child succumbed to his injuries six days later, on May 18. Local police have completed their investigation and submitted the case to the Attorney’s Office, recommending a Class 4 felony child abuse charge.

Under Arizona state law, a Class 4 felony for child abuse falls under criminal negligence and may be committed knowingly or intentionally. If convicted, Brady could face up to three years in prison.

Meanwhile, Emilie, previously very active on social media, has been grieving privately. Known for regularly sharing her experiences of motherhood through videos featuring her husband and children, the mum blogger has refrained from public posts in the recent months. She has not commented on her son’s death yet through any social media platforms. The family has since communicated with authorities solely through legal channels.

According to The Independentthe Kisers have filed a lawsuit requesting that records related to Trigg’s death be kept confidential. The filing stated that Emilie “is going through a parent’s worst nightmare right now. She is trying her best to be there for her surviving (children).” On June 3, a judge granted the family temporary confidentiality.
