According to information received from IndiGo, in April 2024 last year, IndiGo took a big decision to include wide-bodies aircraft for the first time in its fleet. The company then ordered 30 Airbus A350-900 aircraft, whose delivery will start from 2027. Now, increasing this order, the company has decided to bring 30 more aircraft, due to which the total number has increased to 60.

How powerful will the new aircraft of Indigo be?

According to the information, all these A350-900 aircraft will be equipped with Trent XWB engines of Rolls Royce. Its engines are very efficient and quite good for long routes, which will help IndiGo start new international flights. This expansion will give IndiGo the ability to start more flights to its partner International Airlines Hubs.

In March 2025, the company started 6 wide-body aircraft in its fleet

According to information received from IndiGo, in March 2025, IndiGo began to include six temporarily rented wide-bodies aircraft in its fleet. The delivery of all these aircraft will be completed by 2026. This step is part of the company’s preparation for long distance international services.
