India’s first cricket museum opens in Indore; showcases Bradman’s bat, CK Nayudu memorabilia

India’s rich cricketing legacy now has a permanent home. The country’s first dedicated Cricket Museum was inaugurated at the Madhya Pradesh Cricket Association (MPCA) in Indore on July 7, 2025.

The museum houses a stunning collection of rare memorabilia, including Sir Donald Bradman’s bat, an aluminium bat famously used by Dennis Lillee in 1979, and personal artefacts from Indian legend C.K. Nayudu — from his coffin-shaped kit bag to a 1942 liver tonic endorsement.

A full gallery is dedicated to Indore’s own Syed Mushtaq Ali, alongside Sachin Tendulkar’s signed bat and the original curved bats used in the early days of the game.

Visitors can also browse rare cricket letters, historic photographs, and a complete Bradman photo album in book form. This initiative by MPCA not only honours India’s cricketing heritage but also connects generations to the game’s storied past.
