It competes with world-renowned systems like the S400, but despite its shorter range, its speed and effectiveness are simply unmatched. It is believed that this system can prove to be ideal for Oman because its range is suitable for small countries and it is also economical. Oman feels the need to strengthen its air defense systems, especially due to insecurity in Yemen and the military presence of Saudi Arabia and UAE.

The Akash system could be an important step forward for Oman as it could eliminate the need for expensive technology such as Russia’s S-400. Apart from this, Oman will not need large scale resources for its maintenance. Its accuracy and effectiveness can prove to be a great solution for the security of Oman. Looking at the technology of the sky, it can also be seen as the Iron Dome of India which will further strengthen India’s military capability.

Akash system will not be limited only to Armenia or Oman but in the coming time it will be used in many other countries also. India’s indigenous technology has proved that the Indian defense industry has now become an important player for the whole world. India already has many excellent defense systems like S-400, Pinaka and Spider which enhance the strength of the Indian Army.
