
Logistics infrastructure: The Government of India is going to spend Rs 11 lakh 17 thousand crores on the mega project which will transform the development of the country. The 434 projects selected under this will give a new flight to the dreams of employment, development and prosperity in India. The Finance Ministry of the Government of India has recently approved these projects. After coming on the ground under PM Gatishakti Yojana, these projects will change the scene of logistics infrastructure in India. Under this, three big economic corridors are to be built. One of these will be Energy, Mineral and Cement Corridor. The second will be port connectivity and the third will be traffic density corridor.
Multimodal junctions will be built for roadways, railways, waterways and airways.
Under PM Gatishakti Yojana, multimodal junctions of roadways, railways, waterways and airways will be built at many places in the country. Under this, raw and finished goods of the industry can be transported from one place to another very quickly. In this way, due to reduction in logistics cost, goods manufactured in the country will become cheaper, due to which people will have to spend less on their needs and Indian goods will be able to compete in the world market for export. Under this, the Government of India has approved 91 cargo terminals by 31 October 2024. 339 proposals for developing new terminals are under consideration at the Government of India level.
434 major economic corridors will be built in the country
Under PM Gati Shakti Yojana, 434 major economic corridors will be built in the country. Of these, 192 corridors will be for energy, mineral and cement corridors. There will be 200 high traffic density routes. Will focus on 42 route port connectivity. Out of these, DPR of 156 projects has been prepared. Under these 68 projects, connectivity tracks of 6,290 kilometers will be prepared. The government has sanctioned Rs 1,11,663 crore for these. Apart from these, Rs 2,25,301 crore will be spent on economic corridor projects worth Rs 10,603 crore.
