The name of the man is Rajkumar Mishra.

Various machines are used throughout the farming process, from planting to making crops ready for use. Among these, a rice polisher machine is used to process rice by removing the outer husk from the paddy. This machine not only enhances rice quality but also provides employment opportunities for many people.

A resident of Paska village in Colonelganj tehsil of Gonda district of Uttar Pradesh made a polisher machine from junk to improve his financial condition. 10th pass Rajkumar Mishra did not have money to buy the machine. As he would have to spend 3 to 3.5 lakh rupees to buy the machine and 10-11 lakh rupees to buy the tractor to run it. Therefore, he thought to make the polisher machine with the help of an old Marshall vehicle which he bought. In an interview, Rajkumar Mishra said that he made the polisher machine from junk to improve his financial condition. Unable to buy an expensive machine worth Rs 10 lakh including a tractor, He made the machine for just Rs 1.5 lakh using an old Marshall vehicle and other junk parts.

The machine is more economical and less expensive than any machine available in the market. While the machines in the market thresh 8-10 quintals of paddy in 6-7 litres of diesel, Rajkumar’s machine threshes 10-12 quintals of paddy in 3-4 litres of diesel. It means that the mileage of his machine is also excellent. For applying a patent for this innovation, it has now become a permanent source of livelihood for his family.

Following this, Rajkumar says he has been honoured by the Science Minister in Lucknow and the Governor of Uttar Pradesh. Earlier he had a paddy threshing machine at his home but since such machines attached to tractors came which people started taking to farmers’ houses to thresh paddy, Rajkumar’s home business started declining. This gave him the idea that why not make a similar machine? Then he took some material from junk and made a paddy threshing machine. At present, he has three machines.
