‘If there is no ceasefire today …’, Trump’s big statement before meeting Putin

US President Donald Trump has given a big statement before the meeting with Russian President Vladimir Putin. He said that he wants a ceasefire in the meeting with Putin and if this does not happen today, he will not be happy. Trump and Putin are about to discuss the possibility of ending war in Ukraine. He said that we want the murders to be stopped and hence it is very important to be ceasefire. According to the Reuters report, he was asked what would have to be done to make the meeting a success? In response to this, Trump said, “I can’t tell you this. I don’t know. There is no sure. I want some things, including ceasefire.”

If the meeting is not good, I will go home- Trump

‘Trump clarified that there will be no business until the Russia-Ukraine war stops. Regarding the Russia-Ukraine ceasefire, he said, “I am not doing this for myself. I do not need it. I want to focus on my country. To save the lives of many people, I am doing this. If the meeting is not good then I will not call someone directly. However, if the meeting is good, I will call the leaders of Ukrain and I will call the President of Ukrain.”

Jailonski wants to be given security assurance to Ukraine as soon as possible. According to a report by American channel Fox News, Trump said that there is a possibility that the US may give a safety guarantee to Ukraine with European countries, but it cannot be done as NATO. He said that Ukraine will have to decide to give land to Russia under the peace agreement. Trump made it clear that he has not come to talk to Ukraine, but has come to Alaska to bring Putin to the conversation table.

Trump has already warned Russia that if Putin did not agree to end the war, he would have to bear a lot of tough consequences. Trump clearly says that the matter of ceasefire will weave only when the two countries agree on some kind of land swap i.e. land exchange.
