Huti rebels in Yemen, rain from sky, 74 killed in America’s air strike, 171 injured

America Attack on Houthis: At least 74 people were killed and 171 people were injured in air strikes conducted by the US at Yemen’s Ras Isa Oil Port. This information has been given by the active rebels in Yemen. It was told that this attack was done late on Thursday (April 18, 2025) when people were working at the port.

The Central Command of the US Army, while confirming the attack, said that its purpose was to weaken the fuel and economic resources of the Huti rebels. According to Al-Jazeera report, the port and its surrounding areas were specially targeted in the attack. Port employees and truck drivers also hit the attack.

Heavy opposition in Yemen
Indeed, Ras Isa port is extremely important for Yemen’s economy and humanitarian aid supply, from where more than 70 percent of the country’s imports and 80 percent human assistance comes. After the attack, heavy protest has been seen in the region.

Huti rebellious supported Al Masira TV has released videos of explosion and damage. The video shows burning trucks, debris and dead body of citizens. According to the report, many port workers have been injured in this attack.

Political response and regional tension
Huti officer Mohammad Nasir al-Atiyi said that this attack cannot stop the public from the support of Gaza, but it will further strengthen their resolve. A few hours after the attack, the Israeli army claimed that it had stopped a missile fired from Yemen.

Since November 2023, the Hothis have carried out more than a hundred attacks on the ships they consider to be associated with Israel. Washington has warned that if the attack in Red C does not stop, military action will continue. Explain that this attack has shocked Yemen’s economy, humanitarian aid and international peace efforts. Regional stress may increase even more in the coming days.
