In a tale that captivated social media audiences around the world, an American photographer has journeyed thousands of kilometres, across continents and cultures, to a quiet village in Andhra Pradesh – all for love.

Jaclyn Forero, a young woman from the United States, left behind her familiar world to meet the man who stole her heart online: Chandan, a photographer whose work first caught her eye on Instagram. What began with a simple “hi” in the comment section soon blossomed into a long-distance romance that defied time zones, expectations, and even skepticism.

“For the last 14 months, we’ve been together,” Jaclyn shared in a heartfelt social media post.

Drawn not only to Chandan’s artistic eye but also to his deep interests in spirituality, music, and philosophy, Jaclyn says their bond grew stronger with every conversation. After eight months of virtual courtship, she received her mother’s blessing to travel to India. The two women arrived in Andhra Pradesh, marking the beginning of what Jaclyn called “a memorable trip of a lifetime.”

Their love story, though inspiring, did not go unnoticed by the online world. Jaclyn has been open about the range of reactions their relationship has received – from supportive and encouraging, to judgmental and awkwardly silent. One detail that sparked conversations was their age gap: Jaclyn is nine years older than Chandan.

But neither has let that define their relationship. In a recent video shared on her Instagram, Jaclyn spoke candidly about their journey: “The odds were stacked against us, but God is miraculously opening doors and making arrangements for us at every step. Because God brought us together, and He will watch over us.”

That same faith and resilience is echoed in their shared online presence. The couple runs a YouTube channel where they document their story. With wedding bells on the horizon, the pair has also set their sights on a future in the United States. They’ve begun the visa process for Chandan, and plan to start their family there. “This is just the beginning,” Jaclyn said.
