
Hizbullah Chief Hasan Nasrallah was buried 5 months after his death in Beirut, the capital of Lebanon. Thousands of people including Iran’s supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei attended his funeral. Nasrallah was killed in an Israeli attack in September.
During Nasrallah’s funeral, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed resistance against Israel. Khamenei said, “The enemy should know that resistance against grab, harassment and ego never ends and our resistance will continue till the target is achieved.”
Crowd of thousands of people in Berut
On 27 September, Nasralla was killed in an Israeli attack in South Berut with Nasralla, Iranian Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) General Abbas Nilforoshan. Thousands of people gathered in the capital of Lebanon for the funeral of Hizbullah chief and his successor Hushem Safidin and vowed to continue the war against Israel.
Khamenei described Nasrallah as a great Mujahid (fighter) and prominent leader and praised Nasrallah as a close confidant and an inseparable part of the leadership of Safidin.
Iranian’s Rajya TV broadcast the funeral live, in which an anchor read poems in praise of Mujahids. Hizbullah has long been part of the axis of resistance, which is a alliance of Iran -backed armed groups against Israel and its associate United States. Iranian state media said that meetings will be held in Tehran and other cities in mourning of Nasrallah and Safidin.

Hasan Nasrallah was the leader of Hizbullah for more than 3 decades and was one of the founders of the organization. Nasrallah had great influence among Iran -backed groups. Many top leaders of Iran and Lebanon attended the funeral of Nasrallah.
