A teen from Haryana has been facing widespread criticism after videos of him sitting on a moving car roof, claiming his policeman father would protect him, went viral on social media.

A teenager has been flouting traffic rules – all for a few followers, likes and views on Instagram. YouTuber Rakshit Beniwal has posted several videos of himself blatantly disregarding these rules, putting his life and those of others at risk. In almost all of his videos, he claims that his father, a policeman, will protect him from any consequences. One such video has gone viral on social media, sparking widespread criticism.
The video opens to show the teenager sitting on the roof of a moving Mahindra Thar as it drives down a busy road. A text insert appears on the video. It reads, “Tu maar mai dekh lunga (You hit, I’ll handle).”
As the video goes on, another text overlay appears, stating, “Ye kehne vaale papa hai mere paas (I have a father who says this),” followed by a clip of his father exiting a building and getting into the vehicle.

Another video, which has over 36.2 million views, shows him sitting on the same vehicle’s roof. A text overlay on the picture reads, “Kaun hai teri support me? Tu kisi se darta kyun nahi hai? (Who is backing you? Why aren’t you afraid of anyone?)”

Another text then comes on the screen, claiming his father has been supporting him. The video is captioned, “Full support hai father saab ka. (I have full support from my father.)”

In response to the video, Pune-based entrepreneur Chirag Barjatya wrote, “What’s happening in Haryana? A kid is sitting on thar (obviously) and saying his dad who is a policeman will save him? Save him from what? High time, Mahindra should start seizing such people and cars.”

“His dad must be suspended,” said another.
A third commented, “This is so dangerous. I have witnessed a nasty accident. A young kid was sitting like this. Flew due to a speed breaker and hit her head. Died on the spot.”
